Default Variable Line count - map to main account

Hi guys. I have a report that has (multiple, 1-5+) sub accounts which map to one parent account at the bottom of the sub accounts with a blank line between each set of parent/sub accounts. I'm not sure how to go about monarching this to attach the child accounts to the parent accounts. See sample file below:

Hi emanc2k and welcome to the forum.

It looks like you'll be able to trap the parent data with a footer template.

As part of the footer template trap, use a Numeric trap followed by a blank trap then an Alpha trap , like NBA, in the proper columns of course to isolate the record properly.

Each of the child records will be single line detail records. Once the footer is properly defined, then in the Table window you'll see the parent name on each child record.

HTH,
Kruncher

Default Thanks!

Worked perfectly. Thanks! Is there a good link for common questions like these?

Glad to hear that you're on you way with your report now.

There are a couple of options for Monarch information:
