Having trouble with Calculated Field

I'm having trouble capturing a part of a field. I think I know how it should be done, but it's not working. Here's a sample...


EMAILLINE (Source)
Adriana Montano (Adriana.Montano)

EMAILTAKE2 (Calculated Field)
Adriana Montano (Adriana.Montano)

The calculated field is...
Right(rtrim(EmailLine),(len(rtrim(emailline))-instr(rtrim(emailline),"(")))

I want the calculated field to be...
Adriana.Montano

Note - I've tried it without rtrim and that gives the same result.

Mark INSTR does that to you.

NEWBIES are cool. We have all been newbies. Most of us still are from time to time! ;) Sort of. I found something today that had not previously made meaningful neuronal connections. Hopefully it is now filed away for future use.
