Trapping Emails.

I appreciate all your help guys. I have another problem trying to trap 2 types of emails with different domains.

One of the emails appears like this with 8 characters

frederic@free.org

second one appears like this:

GUIDOLEA@CAR.SPO-HMS.ORG

However, the GUIDOLEA name should have 8 characters but the admin was not consistent. So I tried trapping them but I can only get one not the other and vice versa. I am using version 6 pro.

Fred, if I understand your problem correctly, the following should work for you: on the Template Definition dialog, enter ".org" in the Trap line directly above the ".org" in the Sample Edit box, then select the Floating Trap check box near the top of the dialog. This should successfully trap both email addresses. (FYI: for more information on using the Floating Trap, see page 71 of the Monarch Learning Guide or refer to Chapter 1 - Report Window, Creating Data Extraction Templates, Using the Floating Trap, in the Monarch help file.)
