Hi Patrick,

Our latest Redwing V1.02 is only compatible with Adobe Acrobat 4x and the Adobe Writer files it produces. It is not forward compatible to Adobe Acrobat 5x or the files it produces.

PDF files may have many different formats, including images.

Saving as a .pdf file from Crystal does not produce a text file. It creates an "Image" of the document giving it a .pdf extension. Redwing cannot process files that are scanned or that contain images. It can only extract text.

I would suggest installing a Generic Text Printer and try Printing to File from Crystal. See if the format of the text .prn file is more what you need.
