Q: Will Monarch continue to correctly handle dates beyond the year 2000?
A: Dates which are described as four digits (YYYY) require no further translation or explanation.
For dates that are expressed in two digits (YY), Monarch 6 uses default settings established by the user in the Input Options dialog box. The "Date Range for YY" default defines the beginning year (in four digits) of a 100 year range to be used by the application.
For example, if this value is set to 1950, Monarch 6 will work with a date range from 1950 to 2049. Hence, the date 05 will be translated as 2005.
