I may be missing something simple, but is there any way to resize a field in a model? I have only been able to erase the field def, then redefine, when I just want to widen a field, say. There are complex fields in my model, which may be defined as character, even though they look numeric, hidden, etc. I would like to be able to widen a field without going through all this.
Thanks

Hi,
To edit the width of a field in a template:
1. In the Template Definition dialog, position the cursor on the field you want to resize, then double-click the left mouse button (or press the F2 key). The Field Properties dialog displays.
2. Specify the desired template width and/or display width in the corresponding fields, then click the OK button.
3. Save the model to retain the changes.
To edit a field's width in the Table Window:
For a single field:
1. Select any cell in the field, then select Edit, Field Properties (ALT, E, P). The Field Properties dialog is displayed.
2. Use the Column Width box to increase or decrease the column width, then choose OK.
For multiple fields:
1. Select Edit, Field List (ALT, E, L). The Field List dialog is displayed. This dialog displays the properties for all fields in the Table window, including a column that lists each field’s column width.
2. Ensure that the Show Table Properties checkbox is selected.
3. To change a field’s column width, click on the appropriate cell in the Width column, then type a new column width value. Press Enter or click outside the cell to accept the new column width value, or press Escape to restore the previous value.
4. Repeat step 3 to change the data length for additional fields.
5. Click OK to close the Field List dialog and apply your changes to the table.
